Grok 3
Something to watch out for today is that xAI is set to unveil Grok 3 at 8:00 PM Pacific Time (11:00 PM Eastern Time). Elon has described Grok 3 as the "smartest AI on Earth," (we’ll have to see about that) highlighting its advanced reasoning capabilities. He emphasized that the model includes training on synthetic data and uses reinforcement learning to achieve better performance.
While Grok has not been as widely talked about in the news, this could be the model brings it into the limelight. Grok 3 was trained on the massive Colossus cluster in Memphis, TN comprising 100,000 NVIDIA H100 GPUs (and expanding to 200,000). We shall see if scale does indeed beat other optimization techniques like what DeepSeek has shown us.
